applying to pacifica all of the usual rules about rp stand here. be kind to your fellow players, and keep ooc and ic separate. don't god mod, and don't push lines if a player is hesitant. be as active as you can be, and only take on as many characters as you can handle. journal usernames should be ic and should not have numbers, underscores, or random letters in them. aim is not a requirement, but if you decide to make a screenname, it should also be free of random letters and numbers. though we don't require mod approval for mature lines, we will approach you if we find any of the usuals (pregnancies, divorce, substance abuse, etc) being handled unrealistically. however, if you do wish to run lines or ideas by us, we're more than welcome to it!

updating every character's biography is due within a week of acceptance. this means that if your character was added on a monday, their biography is due by ten pm est the following monday. additionally, in our UPDATE DROP-OFF POST we outline the specific date that all members have various entries due, just so there's no confusion in general. we expect this update to include some character history, personality, their occupation, residence, and all the other usuals. yes, we do expect this to be more than a short blurb of the basics. if you had your character's biography in their journal at the time of their acceptance, please see the next rule regarding our regular updating schedule.

browser
think of browser as your character's dashboard when they log on to the net. ffas, text posts, social media posts, and more should be posted to this subcomm.
interact while you're encouraged to post open scenes to interact, it's not required and members can choose to keep their scenes private. we'll be using this subcomm to post community-wide plots, discussion posts, group scenes, and more. we believe that having a space where our members can post open scenes will allow them an opportunity to write and interact with other members they may not get an opportunity to otherwise. when posting to the subcomm please keep in mind that there's certain things that should remain private (or fade to black) and that any scenes containing extremely violent or otherwise nsfw writing should have a warning in the subject line. |
